Merry X'mas

M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S !!!

Probably the reason we all go so haywire at Christmas time with the endless unrestrained and often silly buying of gifts is that we don't quite know how to put our love into words.

~ Harlan Miller

Let us remember that the Christmas heart is a giving heart, a wide open heart that thinks of others first. The birth of the baby Jesus stands as the most significant event in all history, because it has meant the pouring into a sick world of the healing medicine of love which has transformed all manner of hearts for almost two thousand years... Underneath all the bulging bundles is this beating Christmas heart.

~ George Mathhew Adams

If there is no joyous way to give a festive gift, give love away.

~ Unknown

"The purpose and cause of the incarnation was that He might illuminate the world by His wisdom and excite it to the love of Himself."

~ Peter Abelard

"Love came down at Christmas; Love all lovely, love divine; Love was born at Christmas, Stars and angels gave the sign."

~ Christina Rossetti

"Christ was born in the first century, yet he belongs to all centuries. He was born a Jew, yet He belongs to all races. He was born in Bethlehem, yet He belongs to all countries."

~ George W. Truett

"There is no name so sweet on earth, no name so sweet in heaven, The name, before His wondrous birth, to Christ the Savior given."

~ George W. Bethune

"I am not alone at all, I thought. I was never alone at all. And that, of course, is the message of Christmas. We are never alone. Not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the word seemingly most indifferent. For this is still the time God chooses."

~ Taylor Caldwell

"Only in souls the Christ is brought to birth, And there He lives and dies."

~ Alfred Noyes
