Something to Learn from Life - Beautiful Story !!

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire. He told his employer/contractor of his plans to leave the house building  business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family. He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by.

The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.

The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career. When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter. "This is your house," he said, "my gift to you.

"What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well. So it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best.

At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized, we would have done it differently.

Think of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more, that day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity.

The plaque on the wall says, "Life is a do-it-yourself project."

Who could say it more clearly?

Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.

Your relationship to your problems !!

Obstacles and problems are a part of life.

True happiness comes not when we get rid of all of our problems but when we change our relationship to them when we see our problems as a potential source of advancement in God  Consciousness opportunities to practice patience and to learn to depend on God more and more.

Certainly some problems need to be solved. Many others however are problems we create for ourselves by struggling to make our life different than it actually is.

We can become more peaceful by understanding and accepting the inevitable dualities of life—the pain and pleasure success and failure joy and sorrow births and deaths. Problems can teach us to be gracious humble and patient.

Problem and difficulties are considered to be so important to a life of growth. It is felt that when life is too easy there are fewer opportunities for genuine growth.

When you spend less time running away from problems and trying to rid yourself of them— and more time accepting problems as an inevitable natural even important part of life—you will soon discover that life can be less of a battle.

Brilliant Morning Quotes !

We don't have the right to ask when sorrow comes :
Why did this happen to me?,
unless we ask the same question for
every moment of happiness that comes our way.

Worry is like a rocking chair -
it gives you something to do
but it doesn't get you anywhere.

There are too many people praying for mountains of difficulty to be removed,
what they really need is courage to climb them.

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith.
The beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.

When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you,
but merely opening your hands to receive something better !

We often see further through a tear, than through a telescope.

Start Your Day with Positive Note !!

Thoughts are like ants.
When one comes, a whole troop arrives.
One thought can multiply in a matter of seconds,
and then suddenly an army of negative thoughts is on the march.

What are you going to do, to stop the invasion?
Have one determined thought to transform
a negative thought into a positive one.

It's easier to win when you deal with only 1 or 2 thoughts.
Don't let the negative thoughts multiply -
have zero tolerance for their presence,
even if it's just for a few minutes.

SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY !!
