Catholic Morning Prayers - To Be Content Alone

Father, I'm praying for (name one or more) and others in my circle of family and friends who are single...

For these who are not married and may find it troubling, I ask You to help them learn to be content with being single, as well as with any other issues or circumstances of life they find themselves in. (Philippians 4:11b)

Help them delight in You, for You have said when we do, You'll give us the desires of our heart. May their desires match Your desires, Your will and plan for their lives; then fulfill Your purpose for them. (Psalm 37:4; 57:2; 138:8)

If Your plan is for them to be married, give them the grace to wait on You, to be strong and take heart. As they wait, help them to keep Your ways, discerning what is best, keeping pure and blameless in Your sight. (Psalm 27:14; 37:34; Philippians 1:10)

I ask Your special touch on those who are single parents, because managing a home without a spouse can be difficult. May they put their hope in You, continuing night and day in prayer. May others in the body of Christ respond to their needs as they would want to be helped if they were alone. (1 Timothy 5:5; Matthew 7:12)

May they be fulfilled in Christ. In Jesus' name, amen.

Catholic Morning Prayers - A Mother's Morning Blessing for Her Child

This child belongs to you, O Lord -- mind and body and soul.
Lay claim this day to your little one
by place him securely in the Immaculate Heart of your mother, Mary,
in the protective arms of your guardian, Joseph,
and under the shining shield of Archangel, Michael.
Open his heart to the promptings of your Holy Spirit,
his eyes to the beauty of your creation,
his ears to the wise warnings of his guardian angel,
and his heart to every God-fearing soul you send into his life.
I ask this in the name of the Father who created him,
the Son who redeems him,
and the Spirit who sanctifies him.
Amen.

Beautiful Good Morning Poem

Wake Up
Kiss the dawn good morning,
Heavens at your door,
I know that it don't feel that way,
But look out at the shore,
It's kissing the horizon,
The world is warming through,
Soon you will embrace it,
Your eyes will see what's true.

Don't cry those tears my lonely girl,
Sometimes we feel pain,
To remind us of just what we have,
And what we can sustain.

Wake up to the shining sun,
Today's a brand new day,
Place a smile upon your face,
And wipe those tears away,
Love is waiting on the road,
Journey from this hole,
Lay your heart upon the line,
Some things we can't control.

Don't cry those tears for what you've lost,
Think of what you gained,
Life can be a bumpy ride,
That leaves you feeling drained,
It doesn't mean there is no point,
Strength must be your friend,
Keep yourself and all you're worth,
With you till the end.

Blazing rays of hope will shine,
Rising through the sky,
Until the day we finally see,
Until the day we die.

Catholic Morning Prayers

To Manage Time Well

Father, I'm praying for (name one or more) and others in my circle of family and
friends to be good managers of time...

Help them learn from Mary and Martha that busyness can keep them from sitting at
the feet of Jesus where they'll receive His teaching and enjoy His friendship.
May they find the one thing that Jesus said is needed—unhurried time at His
feet. Protect them from the busyness of Martha; may their lives not be driven by
the urgent but by the important—and help them know the difference. May they
remember that Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet. (Luke 10:38–42)

May they make that choice, too, learning to be still before You—to cease
striving, to let be, to know that You are God. Otherwise, they may find
themselves working and serving in their own strength instead of Yours, feeling
weary and weighed down. (Psalm 46:10a; Philippians 4:13; Matthew 11:28)

Help them not to try stretching their days, rising early and staying up late to
do the things they feel they need to do— for You grant sleep to those You love.
(Psalm 127:2)

May they pause throughout the day, asking You to order their steps, being
confident that You will.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Have a Wonderful Day!!

I Hope

I hope you woke up this morning with a big smile on your face . .
I hope the sun is shining just for you
and the birds are singing their very best songs ...
I hope your coffee is hot and tastes just right and the cats are purring contentedly,
and the mailman waves a cheery hello and there are no bills in the post ...

I hope that your day is filled with lovely surprises
and friends call you up just to say "Hi" ...
I hope you feel on top of the world with a spring in your step all day ...
I hope just everything goes your way ...
I hope everything is well with your world,
a place for everything and everything in it's place ...

I hope you can enjoy all you do and you are complimented on the way you look
and you can laugh and talk and share to your heart's content ...
I hope you have all you wish for yourself and those dear to you,
and all your dreams come true ...
and at the end of the day I wish you a perfect moon shining just for you,
a snug and cosy bed with the softest of pillows

and I hope you sleep like a lamb with a smile on your face ...
I hope you have a perfect end to the perfect day
and I hope that every day is just as wonderful in it's own way.
