I gaze outside my window
sipping morning tea
squirrels running, playing
frolic so carefree
I see the rays of sunshine
reminded of your smile
looking toward the heavens
thankful all the while
Smelling fresh bloomed roses
moist with morning dew
reminded of the beauty
that grows inside of you
The birds are chirping softly
on this early morn
pretending we're together
fills my heart with song
Thoughts of you this morning
have brightened up my day
