Extraordinary Opportunities Are Hidden, Be awake & Get That TODAY
because they keep trying to get through the day.
A more worthy challenge is to try to get from the day.
We must become sensitive enough to observe and ponder what
is happening around us. Be alert. Be awake.

extraordinary opportunities are hidden among the seemingly
insignificant events of life.
If we do not pay attention to these events,
we can easily miss the opportunities."

You Have Only Today to Begin, so Follow Your Dreams
-- Unknown
Don't wait for some distant day to come,
it may be too late before you've even begun.
Not everyone will agree with all you decide.
Be true to yourself first and foremost.
The only important thing in life is what
you do with the time you spend here on earth.
Don't cloud today with things that can't
be undone. You have no more control over
yesterday or tomorrow, than you do the raging
of your passions.
Do not quiet these dreams
nor quench your desires. For if you do,
your journey is ended.
You have only today to begin anew and
follow your dreams. For in the end all
we have are our memories.
When the twilight comes to us, let there be,
no excuses, no explanations, no regrets!

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Anybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done. Who are we?
EVERYBODY or SOMEBODY or ANYBODY or NOBODY???
We ought not to be EVERYBODY or ANYBODY or NOBODY, but we need to become "SOMEBODY" so as to make a difference in the lives of the people we meet, during the journey of our life…
.....and make it a great week ahead!!!

Hope Does Not Disappoint Us
I was chatting online with a friend when I first read the Bible verse: Hope does not disappoint. It struck me as beautiful and I shared it with my friend. But it does! Hope disappoints! It causes you to have expectations and you get shot down, she explained. And I realized we were talking about two different things. She was talking about hope in the things of this world; the line was referring to hope borne out of our experience of God.
I am no stranger to losing hope. For most of my life, I believed that the only way to survive was to avoid situations where I could get hurt. I put up near-insurmountable walls around me so I wouldnt get too attached to anyone or anything. What I didnt realize earlier on was that letdowns are part of life and should be accepted with an open heart. This conviction came during a particularly low day, when I was surprised by a sudden realization: No matter what happens to me, God will never allow me to be unhappy for too long. It is almost impossible to feel bad after a thought like that.Hope in a faithful God does not disappoint.
Is your faith still lacking?
Strengthen my hope; strengthen my faith.

An Inspirational Story - Balance of Life
by Catherine Pulsifer
Mary and Susan were friends for years. They grew up together
and attended the same schools. They were now both in their 40's,
and both had great careers. They both had a similar upbringing -
same education, same family values, similar support and financial
position. But there was one main difference. Mary never seemed to
have enough time. She watched her life long friend Susan. She had
similar responsibilities and interests. Susan had a career, she had
three children, she had her hobbies, one of which included golf.
Over lunch, Susan was telling Mary about the golf game that she
played last weekend.
"Susan, where do you find the time to play golf?" asked Mary.
"I never seem to have the time, now with the children older
and doing there own thing I thought I would have time to play
golf like we did when we were in college."
Susan looked at Mary and laughed, "Mary, we both have the same
hours in a day. You do have the time to play golf!"
With a sigh Mary replied, "That's easy for you to say. I never
seem to have time. My work takes so much of my time. I am in the
office at 7:30, I leave at 6:30 in the evening. By the time I get
home and have dinner, it is 8:00! And, then I usually have a briefcase
full of work. The weekends are full of more work. Just to keep up,
I have to put in the hours. You know what it is like!"
"Of course, I know what it is like," Mary said. "But what would
happen tomorrow if you got sick? Who would do the work?"
"Sick. Who has time to get sick! exclaimed Mary. "But if I did
get sick, someone else would do the work, I suppose."
"You know something, Mary, I used to be like you. I worked night and day and of course on weekends. When I got home I was exhausted but I would push myself and read my children a bedtime story. By the time I went to bed, I would be more than exhausted. The boss I had was very demanding. She was there early in the morning, late at night, and she always worked weekends. I felt I had to do the same - I needed the job to help support my family - just as you did. But then I had a change of bosses. The man I worked for was older and much wiser, I might add! Of course, I continued to work the hours I had been working. One day he came to my desk and
passed me a card that had a quote on it which said, 'What I do today is important, because I will never have today again' - then he left.
I sat there stunned. I suddenly thought of what was important to me.
While my work was important, I realized my children were more
important. I also realized that time for me was important.
It was 4:30, the official closing time of the office. I straightened my desk,
felt a twinge of guilt about leaving, but I forced myself to leave.
I was home by 5:00. My children and husband were surprised.
I had a wonderful evening. It was not a chore to read that
bedtime story that evening."
Mary was looking at her friend thoughtfully and then questioned
Susan about the work she had left on her desk.
Susan replied, "I never thought this possible, but I actually accomplished more the next day then I had in weeks. As I was leaving the next day I stopped at my new boss's office and thanked him for the quote. He told me a story about advice his
dad had given him many years ago when he was working night and day.He
referred to it as 'Balance of Life'. His dad told him to keep balance
in his work, in his family life and in time for himself. He explained
to me,while all aspects of our life are important, without a balance,
you become addicted and like all addictions you lose -
- no balance with your family - you lose them
- no balance with your work - you lose your perspective and you
actually lose focus on the important aspects of your job.
- no balance with yourself - you forget who you are and when
you retire you have nothing! Or worse than that, if you lose
your job through a company sale or downsizing you lose your identity.
He went on to tell me that who we are is NOT what we do to make
a living. Who we are is a balance of our family, our work,
ourselves! It truly was the best advice I ever received."
Mary took a drink of her tea and tearfully looked at her friend,
"But I would never get my work done if I left at 4:30!"
Susan looked thoughtfully at her, "When you go to work on Monday,
look at what you have on your desk. Make a list of everything
you have to get done and beside that list write the impact of
not doing it. Then focus only on the top three items that have
the most impact. Do that everyday for a week. At first, you
will find it difficult to leave. But, after awhile, you will find that
you will have more energy, and you will be more focused in your
work because you have BALANCE! There are times when we
have to lose balance - a special project at work, or a family
matter at home - but consciously focusing on balance keeps
everything in check."
Mary smiled at her friend, "Thanks for talking with me. We have
been friends for so long. Thank heavens I have balance with your
friendship! You have convinced me. I will leave the work in my
briefcase this weekend. On Monday, I will make the list first
thing. Perhaps next weekend, I will have the time to go golfing
with you!"

There's Something Happy On The Way Today!!!
"There's something happy on the way. . ."
- Henry Van Dyke
"When we look to see the evidence of creation all around us, from a grain of sand to the majestic planets, we begin to realize that we are the greatest of all God's creations; we are created in His image."
- M. Russell Ballard
"Impossible mountains are climbed by those who have the self-confidence that come from truly being loved."
- H. Burke Peterson
"A monk is said to have built a tower sixty fee high and three feet wide. On a certain day he would climb up to the top of the tower and pray, and the words of his prayers were generally about like this, "Oh, God, where art thou?" No answer. "Oh, God, where art thou?" No answer. Finally when he had exhausted someone's patience, there came a voice and it said, "I am down among the people." You have to be humble. Our wealth, our affluence, our liberties, all that we possess must never make us feel above anyone. We must always keep in mind a deep sincerity, a great humility, and a total dependence upon the Lord.

The 7 Ups of Your Day
Decide to have a good day. "This is the day the Lord hath made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it."
2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance,
But the Lord looks at the heart."
3. Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, So He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul."
4. Stand Up!!
. . . For what you believe in.
5. Look Up !!
. . . To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me".
6. Reach Up !!

Today Change Yourself
Keep a promise. Find the time. Forego a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Listen. Apologise if you were wrong. Examine your demand on others. Think first of someone else. Appreciate, be kind, be gentle. Laugh a little more.
Deserve confidence. Take up arms against malice. Decry complacency. Express your gratitude. Worship your God. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love. Speak it again. Speak it still again. Speak it still once again.

Start Your Day with Smile...!!!
Helen Steiner Rice
Life is a mixture of sunshine and rain,
Laughter and pleasure, teardrops and pain,
All days can’t be bright, but it’s certainly true,
There was never a cloud the sun didn’t shine through,
So just keep on smiling whatever betide you,
Secure in the knowledge God is always beside you,
And you’ll find when you smile your day will be brighter,
And all of your burdens will seem so much lighter
For each time you smile you will find it true,
Somebody, Somewhere will Smile Back At You,
And nothing on earth can make life more worthwhile
Than the sunshine and warmth of a Beautiful Smile.

Motivational Life's Lesson
I've learned....
maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned....
it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned....
you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved; the rest is up to them.
I've learned....
no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've learned....
it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I've learned....
either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I've learned....
it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned....
you can get by on charm for about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something.
I've learned....
you should never tell a child their dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if they believed it.
I've learned....
you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do.
I've learned....
you can do something in an instant something that will give you
heartache for life.
I've learned....
you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last
time you see them.
I've learned....
you can keep going long after you can't.
I've learned....
we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I've learned....
regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.
I've learned....
heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I've learned....
money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I've learned....
my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.
I've learned....
sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned....
sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned....
true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.Same goes for true love.
I've learned....
just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned....
no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned....
it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.Sometimes you are to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned....
no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
>I've learned....
our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned....
just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.
I've learned....
we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.
I've learned....
even when I have pains, I don't have to be one.
I've learned....
you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I've learned....
two people can look at the exact same thing and see something different.
I've learned....
no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.
I've learned....
your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.
I've learned....
even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned....
credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I've learned....
the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon. Cherish and appreciate them now.
I've learned....
regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life.
I've learned....
it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.
I've learned....
if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.
I've learned....
you can make someone's day by simply sending them a little note.
I've learned....
life sometimes gives you a second chance.
I've learned....
that the greater a person's sense of guilt, the greater his or her needs to cast blame on others.
I've learned....
no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and
it will be better tomorrow.
I've learned....
making a "living" is not the same thing as making a "life".
I've learned....
you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.
I've learned....
if you pursue happiness, it will elude you. But, if you focus on your
family, the needs of others, your work, meeting new people, and doing
the very best you can, happiness will find you.
I've learned....
whenever I decide something with kindness, I usually make the right decision.
I've learned....
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love human touches
holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I've learned....
that I still have a lot to learn.

Today Is a Gift....Have a Powerful Day.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.

- Ezra Taft Benson
We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
